My name is Ross Henry, and I’m a multimedia content creator, producer, and digital entrepreneur based in Vancouver, BC. I help people and brands turn ideas into clear, engaging stories that actually reach an audience, not just sit in a folder.
I grew up on Bowen Island with CBC radio always playing in the background. Those familiar voices and stories quietly taught me how powerful good audio and honest storytelling can be. I didn’t know it at the time, but those broadcasts were training my ear and shaping what I do now: telling meaningful stories, sharing useful information, and getting a few cheap laughs through the internet along the way.
That early curiosity led me to study at VanArts and BCIT’s Broadcasting program, where I built a strong foundation in audio, video, and digital media production. I learned how to take a rough idea and turn it into something polished and professional. From concept and scripting to recording, editing, refining, and publishing. Those skills are at the core of the services I offer today, whether you need a full podcast launch, ongoing production support, or help leveling up the quality of your content.
During my internship phase, I decided to bet on myself and reached out to Adam Schwartz from the Two Plus Two Pokercast, a show I’d followed for years back when it aired on TEAM 1040 in Vancouver. The timing couldn’t have been better. Adam needed help during a pivotal transition for the show, and I jumped in headfirst.
What started as one opportunity quickly turned into a full-time producing role and the beginning of my career in poker media. That break changed everything. As the show’s producer, I covered the poker world from the inside, traveling from Vegas and LA to Hong Kong and Macau. I had the chance to interview some of the biggest names in the game and capture the stories, personalities, and moments that make the poker community so unique.
When Daniel Negreanu joined as co-host, we rebranded as the DAT Poker Podcast and spent nearly a decade building one of the most loyal and engaged audiences in poker media. All of that experience: The travel, the interviews, the editing marathons, the late-night problem‑solving, taught me how to run production at a high level while keeping things human, fun, and relatable.
Now, I bring that same approach to the projects I work on with clients: thoughtful strategy, clean production, and a focus on making your content feel like something people genuinely want to spend time with. When the DAT Poker Pod wrapped up, Daniel invited me to keep the momentum going with new projects, a real vote of confidence that meant everything. I jumped in to produce his WSOP Vlog series, a YouTube powerhouse that pulls in tens of millions of views every year during the World Series of Poker. From there, I teamed up with Daniel and Amanda Negreanu on the MANIA podcast, sharpening my skills in fast-paced video production and collaborative storytelling. Those opportunities and Daniel’s mentorship have been game-changers, letting me evolve as a producer who can handle high-stakes content while keeping it authentic and engaging.
Outside of those projects, I’ve branched out into sports media, podcast consulting, and e-commerce ventures that keep my creative engines firing. I launched Gamble Up!, my own sports betting and poker podcast, where I get to blend sharp analytics, live energy, and real conversations perfect for creators who want that same mix of insight and entertainment in their shows. Every project, from consulting on podcast launches to building Shopify stores, lets me fuse hands-on production with smart business strategy. The result?
